Hello, my name is Hanam (-näm). I don’t particularly enjoy talking at length about myself, and I’m pressed for what to write, so I will henceforth be writing this bio in third-person because the internet said it sounds objective when written that way, almost like someone else wrote it.

Hanam is a tattoo artist specializing in creative custom designs. He was born to his parents in the late 1900’s on a tiny island in the Pacific Ocean known as Guam. He spent most of his formative years growing up in ‘Aiea, Hawai’i with his mother and brother.

Upon graduating from high school, Hanam attended the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. There he studied glassblowing and sculpting, both being incredibly useful things in one’s daily life, as you might imagine. Alas, due to his insubordination and lack of effort in other areas including but not limited to attending class, Hanam was no longer allowed to continue his scholarly journey toward the bachelor of fine arts.

Hanam would go on to spend the next decade of his life exploring various styles of tattooing, honing his craft — having opportunities to work in and out of conventions, parlors, shops, and private studios, absorbing and sharing knowledge from and with the good people that exist in the world of tattoos.

Preferring a tailored and illustrative approach, takes the client’s direction and creates uniquely inspired pieces made to fit, often rendering designs directly onto the skin with a marker or using technology when suitable.

Although a skilled artist, Hanam finds himself incapable of time management; there is, after all, so much of it. Propitiously we find Riss — his lovely partner, at the Helm of the Time Keepers, driving forward the monumental task of scheduling his customers, leaving him to his obsessive doodling.

This may be because Hanam has chosen e-mail, an ancient technology from the Cenozoic Era, to be his primary form of work communication to this very day. Truly extraordinary.
